We drove from Gallup, New Mexico to El Paso, Texas yesterday. The drive was good but long. Along the way, we stopped to see the Bosque De Apache wildlife preserve and the White Sands National Monument. We saw many cranes, snow geese, and harriers at the former and a huge expanse of white gypsum sand dunes at the latter. Right outside of White Sands is a missile range. We kept looking over our shoulders. It was snowing at White Sands, so we snapped a few photos and then kept heading south.

Gallup to El Paso.

In El Paso, Texas.
We're in El Paso, Texas. It snowed last night, and the state park at which we had hoped to stay was closed. So we stayed at the Coral Motel and ate dinner at a great Tex-Mex place called Los Banditos de Carlos and Mickey's. We hope to hit the road in a little bit for Big Bend National Park.
Keep on truckin'.
