Around Chicago.

Rhoda and I have had a great day today. We borrowed Jan and Becky's bikes and went riding all over the city. The weather was beautiful: sunny and about seventeen degrees Celsius. We biked around the neighborhood and past Wrigley Field and then headed out to the lakeshore path. We rode all the way past downtown and Navy Pier.

At a little after five we met up with Jan along the path and biked together through Lincoln Park and past the national headquarters for the Elks. Very cool.

We stopped in at Reckless Records on Broadway. I wanted the second latest Bill Callahan record. They had a used copy; unfortunately, they couldn't find it. Grrr...

It was getting dark and we were getting hungry, so we hopped on the bikes again and went to Cho Sun Ok Korean Restaurant, which is just around the corner. We ordered a lot of delicious food to take home and then rode over to the Half Acre brewery. We sampled a few delicious beers and bought a growler of Daisy Cutter. Then we picked up our food at Cho Sun Ok and rode home.

Jan was happy to see Becky and Grace, and so were we. We put the food out, poured some beers, and sat down for dinner. It was delicious. So good to eat Korean food again!

After dinner Jan, Rhoda, and I went to the schoolyard across the street to throw the ball around with the dog.
The big beech tree across the street is full of yellow leaves and lit up by the streetlights. It's a beautiful night out here, cool and windy.
