On Friday we drove from Chicago to Denver. It was a long, long drive.
Highlights:
- Crossing the Mississippi
- Seeing a storm chaser truck
- Getting groceries outside of Des Moines
- Seeing massive tractor tires on a flatbed truck
- Big trains on the outskirts of Omaha
- Strange plateaus and terraces in Nebraska fields
- Moon on the rise
- Realizing we didn't forget a water bottle at the gas station
- Listening to Radio Lab
- Not meeting Officer Lopez a second time in Colorado
- Arriving in Denver at a little past midnight
