Sequoia.

We drove from Yosemite to Sequoia on Saturday. We got to the park in the evening, so it was dark; however, the sunset on the way was spectacular. We drove through winding, foggy mountain roads and finally found our campsite. We woke up early the next morning and drove up to General Sherman, the largest tree in the world. We were the only ones there. The forest was quiet except for the many ravens flying around. The size of the trees is simply incredible. The forest was beautiful and mysterious. Being around trees that big and that old is a humbling experience. We spent a fair bit of time just looking up and around us. Then we walked back to Geronimo and drove a ways up the road. We parked and cooked pancakes in the parking lot. Then it was time to get on the road to Los Angeles.
