Josiah in Gallup, New Mexico.

We were happy to spend a few days with our friend Josiah in Gallup this week. We spent the day together on Wednesday and had a great time.

We started our day together at Grandpa's Grill. We ate big breakfast burritos with green chili sauce. Delicious. Then we drove out to El Morro. It's a huge rock formation with the ruins of a pueblo on top and a waterhole at the bottom. There are inscriptions and petroglyphs in the rock, some more than 400 years old. We hiked up to the top of the mesa and then down again. The view was incredible. Then we drove back to Gallup to explore the city. We saw a lot, and then stopped in at Glenn's Pastries for donuts. Also delicious. After that, we hopped in Geronimo and drove out to Rehoboth to climb in the hills and get a view of the city and the sunset. It was very quiet and beautiful out in the sagebrush-covered hills. As the sun set, we did laundry and checked out the Goodwill. Then it was time for dinner, so we had some good beer and pizza. Again, delicious. We drove back to Josiah's place after dinner and hung out for a few hours. Then we slept.

In the morning, we drove to Earl's Diner for breakfast with Josiah and Alex, his roommate. Then we said our farewells and hit the road for El Paso.
