We rambled down to and through wins-whipped Battery Park yesterday evening for a view of the Statue of Liberty. She was lit up, glowing green in the murky gloom of the water and the night sky. The Staten Island ferries were plying the waters back and forth as well, sparking silhouettes in the dark. It was cold, but we got a good look at Lady Liberty.
